Ana Harris is the founder and President of Cela Advisors. Ana created Cela Advisors to follow her philosophy of providing truly independent advice, following the Fiduciary Principles applicable to licensed attorneys, certified financial planners, and registered investment advisors. A fiduciary has a fundamental obligation to act in the client’s best interest, a duty of undivided loyalty, and to disclose all possible conflicts of interest. In sum, the standards required of attorney’s, CFPs®, and RIAs, is that they put their client’s interests above their own.
Ana has extensive experience advising individuals, family businesses and closely-held business owners on estate taxes, investments, business succession and general business issues. Prior to joining a wealth management firm, Ana was a practicing estate tax and corporate law attorney for over 20 years, most recently, with a large regional law firm.
Ana’s business and legal experience coupled with her degree in finance and Certified Financial Planner™ designation, make her uniquely qualified to consult with individuals and families on all of their financial needs.
Ana is a member of many professional organizations, including the Financial Planning Association, the Family Firm Institute, the Florida Bar, Cuban American Bar Association, and Women Executive Leadership. Additionally, Ana is passionate about "entrepreneurship" and is a member of the advisory board of FIU's Eugenio Pino and Family Global Entrepreneurship Center. Ana has been a judge of the Final Round of FIU's Business Plan Competition, annualy, from 2004 to 2009. Ana is bilingual and is a popular presenter in Spanish or English on financial planning, estate planning and taxes.
Ana earned a Bachelors Degree in International Finance and Marketing from the University of Miami, and a Law Degree from the University of Miami, where she was a member of the Law Review and Moot Court Board. Ana has also earned her certified financial planners® designation.
